The Venue
The classes will meet in the Central Library at the University of Otago. There are many cafes and restaurants in walking distance from the venue.
Transport
Dunedin International Airport is 30 km from the University of Otago, with a drive time of around 30 minutes. A taxi fare from the airport to Dunedin city is typically around $100 and if you inform of us of your flight plans we will try to let you know who might be on the flight to share a ride. More affordable shuttles are also available; the cost varies according to the number of passengers but fares start from around $25. Options for transport are listed on the airport website.
The University of Otago campus is within walking distance from the Octagon, the centre of the city. Buses regularly run from campus to the Octagon. Some services continue on to popular St Clair Beach.

AccommodationThere are numerous hotels and motels within walking distance of the University of Otago. Please visit Dunedinnz or your favourite booking site to see a full range of accommodation in the city.
WeatherIt will be summertime, but Dunedin does have a reputation for experiencing four seasons in one day! Average temperatures for Dunedin range from a minimum of 11°C to a maximum of 16°C. For day to day weather, visit MetService.
Entertainment
Known for its wildlife, heritage, arts, coffee scene, and lots more, Dunedin is full of things to see and do.
BabysittingAll babysitters at Belle Babysitters are fully referenced and have first aid certificates.

The University of Otago and the NZ government strongly recommend the wearing of medical or N95 masks while indoors. Weather permitting, tea breaks will be held outdoors. Because our classes are small and you will be working closely with classmates coming from many places, we expect masks to be worn unless you have a medical exemption.
In the unlikely event of any border closures or other travel restrictions, refunds will be provided to the extent possible once the School has covered its direct costs already incurred. Students are very strongly urged to take out travel insurance to cover flights, accommodation costs and other expenses not refundable in the event of inability to travel or a requirement to isolate that unexpectedly extends your stay.
