Bursaries

Three bursary opportunities are available to applicants of the 2025 Rare Book School, awarded by the Australian and New Zealand Association of Antiquarian Booksellers (ANZAAB), the Bibliographical Society of Australia and New Zealand (BSANZ), and the Friends of the Turnbull Library (FOTL).

  • All applications for the Rare Book School will be assessed and notified of the outcome shortly after receipt.

1 September 2024: Bursary applications close.

16 September 2024: Successful bursary applicants will be notified.

1 October 2024: Payment due for all students accepted by this date to confirm their place, including those unsuccessful in a bursary application.

  • Within the application form for the Rare Book School course of your choice, an option is included to apply for each bursary. You will then be prompted to provide a statement addressing the eligibility criteria (see below for specific details).

Once selected to the Rare Book School course of your choice, the organisers will share your name and bursary statement only with the relevant committee, which will select an applicant for their respective bursaries. The organisers will notify all applicants of the outcome of their bursary application.
